Changsha Changli Electric Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock enterprise established in March 2016 after the deepening reform of Changsha Motor Factory Co., Ltd. The R & D, manufacturing, marketing and trademark brands of the motor industry of the former Changsha Motor Factory Co., Ltd. are all operated by Changsha Changli Electric Co., Ltd. The company's predecessor, Changsha Electric Machinery Factory, was founded in 1946 and has a history of professional R & D and manufacturing of motors for more than 70 years. It is the vice chairman unit of China Small and Medium-sized Electric Machinery Industry Association and one of the top 500 enterprises in China's electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing company. The company's "Changli" brand has won the titles of "Hunan Famous Brand" and "Hunan Famous Brand", and its products are favored by customers.

The company has been focusing on the green design and green manufacturing of motors. In 2021, the high-efficiency and energy-saving three-phase asynchronous motor independently developed by the company won the "Green Design Product" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; in 2022, the company won the professional and special new "Small Giant" enterprise award issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and was once again recognized as a "national high-tech enterprise"; in the same year, the company was rated as "Green Factory" in Hunan Province and "Green Design Demonstration Enterprise" in Changsha City; in 2023, the company won the honor of "National Green Factory.
