Recently, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the State Standardization Administration issued Announcement No. 13 of 2020, announcing the new standard of motor energy efficiency, "GB18613-2020 Motor Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Ratings". The new standard modifies the scope of application of the standard, and merges and updates the energy efficiency standards of the original small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors and small power motors. In June next year, the GB18613-2012 and GB25958-2010 energy efficiency standards will be completely replaced, and the 2012 version will be abolished.

The international standard is that the higher the IE number, the more energy-efficient it is (and will rise in the future). China's standard is that the lower the number, the more energy-efficient it is, and it is divided into primary energy efficiency, secondary energy efficiency and tertiary energy efficiency. Then by June 2021, the lowest implementation standard in China is the requirement of IE3.

At present, Changsha Changli Electric Co., Ltd. launched IE4 series motors at the end of 2018 after the mass production of IE3 motors, and is now starting the development of IE5 motors. Ready to adapt to the IE5 standard by permanent magnet synchronous reluctance motor. It has obvious advantages in efficiency, price, durability, appearance, weight and power range.

For the new standard, Changli Electric has made predictive preparations two years ago. Now IE3 motor is a mature product, IE4 product series is in mass production, IE5 is also under development, and a prototype is expected to be produced next year. In this way, Changli Electric will cover the full range of products with new standards and contribute to the implementation of standards in the industry and the promotion of efficient motors!
